Collaboration between ACAVyT and APIT following the Electoral Process of the Teide National Park Board

   

The Canary Islands Association of Travel Agencies and Tour Operators (ACAVyT) and the Professional Association of Tourist Guides of Tenerife (APIT) would like to inform the sector and the public of the important collaboration agreement reached between both entities following the recent voting process for the representation of professional tourism associations on the Board of the Teide National Park.

Context of the Agreement

In the recent election to appoint professional tourism representation on the Board of the Teide National Park, both associations received equivalent support, reflecting the importance of each within the sector.
Ultimately, APIT will take on the responsibility of formally representing professional tourism associations on the Board, acting as spokesperson and channeling the sector’s proposals and observations.

Objectives and Benefits of the Collaboration

  • Permanent coordination to share relevant information and constructive proposals.

  • Joint submission of observations and suggestions that contribute to the conservation and improvement of the Teide National Park.

  • Promotion of best practices in the management of tourist activities, ensuring sustainability and respect for the environment.

  • Active fight against unqualified practice, defending the professionalization of the sector and ensuring that tourist activities in the Teide National Park are carried out exclusively by properly qualified and accredited entities and professionals.

Both associations, as key players in the organization and execution of activities related to the park, reaffirm their willingness to combine efforts and expertise to ensure that the Teide National Park remains a benchmark for conservation, sustainability, and tourism quality.
